 Did you know that the crucial developmental years for a child's long-term success are the ones before the 5th birthday?

They say, "It takes a village to raise a child."

We say, "It's time to change the way we do business in the village."

  Every child needs love, good health, safe       places to play, and exposure to learning.

Unfortunately, too many of New Orleans' children start school without this early foundation...and then, it's too often too late. 

At the Early Childhood & Family Learning Foundation, our ambitious yet simple goals are to make sure that every child enters school ready to learn ;  provide a “continuum of care” so that every child’s physical and mental health needs are accurately recognized and met throughout his/her schooling;  and give every child a real opportunity to graduate high school.
